Altamonte Extends the Integration of 2Ship and MYOB Acumatica in New Zealand

In Stage One of our integration of 2Ship and MYOB Acumatica we helped Altamonte to integrate the two systems for their Head Office in Melbourne. If you haven’t read our earlier blog where we discussed this quick and easy 2Ship – MYOB Acumatica integration that automated their order shipping, then please check it out here for the background information.

In this blog we are highlighting Stage Two of the integration. Our valued customer Altamonte has grown its market, recently adding dispatching freight within New Zealand. Naturally, this meant that they needed to connect their new 3PL in New Zealand to 2Ship to help with the local distribution of their products throughout New Zealand.  

Using the existing API connection from Stage One, Altamonte merely created a second warehouse location in MYOB Acumatica, and a new shipping location in 2Ship, and now the orders for New Zealand are flowing into the 2Ship order queue, ready for shipping! 

Altamonte is using the 3PL warehouse in New Zealand that Freight Controller sourced on their behalf, and they are also using Team Global Express (TGE) – New Zealand as a carrier. We had previously set up TGE as one of their main carriers for their Australian Domestic Freight.  

As 2Ship is a cloud-based software platform, the transparency of order flow and shipment creation is seamless.  The orders can flow from MYOB Acumatica into the 2Ship order queue, which allows the New Zealand 3PL staff to easily view and then ship out the orders.  

The 2Ship system then automatically pushes back the carrier’s tracking number, shipment cost and tracking URL link back to MYOB Acumatica.   

Altamonte’s staff in their Head Office can now effortlessly see what orders have been dispatched by the New Zealand 3PL warehouse and their tracking information.  

The recipient of the delivery is also sent an email alert or SMS with the order details and a link to the tracking details of the shipment.  The recipient can then use this tracking link to also see the progress of the shipment.  

When the package is delivered, 2Ship uses its web hooks to automatically update MYOB Acumatica with the delivery status so that Altamonte’s customer service and logistics staff are fully informed of the shipment’s status.  

Having done the initial integration of MYOB Acumatica and 2Ship, Altamonte can now leverage that integration to easily roll out other locations and warehouses if and when needed with minimal effort which is greatly helpful for growing their business.
